PAVAROTTI 1935-2007

Luciano Pavarotti wasn't so much a singer as a musician who happened to be born with a larynx like a Stradivarius, and once, long ago, he was young. Here he is in 1979, as Rodolfo in Puccini's La Boheme, the opera for people who say they hate opera. Pavarotti sang Rodolfo better than anyone else ever did anything.
